The People Behind Dyslexikit

If you are thinking about trying Dyslexikit with your child, you’ll want to know that the materials that you are buying are based upon sound educational principles backed by appropriately qualified professional experience.

We are sure that you would also like to feel that behind Dyslexikit are people who understand, not only the needs of the struggling child, but also the anxieties of a parent …….. well, from Dyslexikit you will be getting exactly those things.

The ideas for Dyslexikit have emerged from years of experience working with children who are dyslexic, and from the combined skills, knowledge and background of Gina Brooks and Nonie Neusinger, the creators of this unique programme.

Gina Brooks

Gina Brooksqualified as a teacher in England. She has worked to management level in education in London and Devon, for local education authorities, the independent sector and privately.

Gina holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Studies in Education (Dyslexia) from Kingston University, having studied with the Dyslexia Institute. She has been a practising teacher for over thirty years and for ten years, ran her own full-time specialist practice – the Literacy Support Service in Exeter – for children with dyslexia.

Gina has, for the past ten years, developed and produced materials that have provided hundreds of children, successful access to the literacy skills needed by all children.

Nonie Neusinger

Nonie Neusingertrained and qualified as a teacher in Australia and has over ten years experience in primary schools. She holds a Bachelor of Education degree, her specialist area being Gifted and Talented Children. Nonie currently runs a successful export marketing business in partnership with her husband, Peter. Nonie’s eldest son, Max, is dyslexic.

Nonie and Gina worked closely together to enable Nonie’s son Max to achieve a competent and functional level of literacy. They now feel compelled to share their knowledge and skills with others who are dedicated to helping their own children achieve the same.

So, Dyslexikit was born – from professional expertise, personal experience and a commitment to the needs of children and their teachers and parents.

4000 Dyslexia Specialists are to be trained in two years.

Education Secretary, Ed Balls, has accepted education expert Sir Jim Rose's review and recommendations regarding services for children with dyslexia, and Dyslexikit is delighted to support the governments initiative to train 4000 specialist dyslexia teachers over the next 2 years. Whilst waiting for these trained specialists, however, you could get a head start in becoming a dyslexia-friendly school. Sir Jim Rose has recommended 'skilled, intensive, one-to-one intervention' for children with dyslexia and we totally agree. Dyslexikit was written by a specialist teacher to provide the materials for intensive, one-to-one teaching not only so that children with dyslexia will improve their skills but also so that you will learn too. As a teacher or parent, as you use Dyslexikit you will become skilled in the strategies and methods required to help children read spell and write.

Order Dyslexikit 1 today and we'll send you a demonstratiion CD free of charge.
