Dyslexikit for Teachers

Dyslexikit is perfect for school use, especially for a busy teacher like you. Specialist training in working with children with dyslexia is not essential. Use Dyslexikit yourself or give the kits to your teaching assistant with confidence knowing that full instructions are there every step of the way, on every page, in detailed, jargon-free language. There is very little preparation to do; indeed, all the activities can be printed out in full colour from our CD ROMs.

Reading, spelling and handwriting are often taught separately in schools, but we believe that a more coordinated approach, where all three elements are taught together, provides children with a better understanding of literacy skills. Each element - reading, spelling and handwriting - supports the others by moving along at the same time.

Dyslexikit will be previewing their latest product, ‘Access Literacy’ (AL), at this April’s TES North Exhibition. AL has been specially developed by Gina Brooks ( the author of the Dyslexikit Series) to address the literacy needs of the older learner (primarily 13 – 18+ year olds). This is in response to growing requests from Secondary School teachers, Specialist Teachers, parents and those working with young people in many services and institutions.

4000 Dyslexia Specialists are to be trained in two years.

Education Secretary, Ed Balls, has accepted education expert Sir Jim Rose's review and recommendations regarding services for children with dyslexia, and Dyslexikit is delighted to support the governments initiative to train 4000 specialist dyslexia teachers over the next 2 years.
